Our Manali Couple Tour Package for ₹11,000
Before sharing our day-wise experience, let me tell you about our package.
We booked a couple travel package for ₹11,000. I was honestly surprised by the price because it covered many things that we would otherwise have had to arrange separately.
Here is what our package included:
- 2-star hotel accommodation.
- Morning breakfast and dinner.
- Hotel stay for our trip.
- Sightseeing arrangements.
- Travel arrangements as per the package.
- A special candlelight dinner arranged by the hotel.
The hotel food was amazing, and we really enjoyed our stay. For a budget trip, the overall experience was much better than we expected.
Now, let me take you through our four days in Manali.
Day 1: Reaching Manali, Hadimba Devi Temple and Mall Road
Places to visit in Manali. Our first morning started with our arrival in Manali. After a long journey, we checked into our hotel and took some rest.
We did not want to rush on the first day because travelling in the mountains can be tiring. After freshening up and relaxing for some time, we started exploring Manali.
1. Hadimba Devi Temple
Our first sightseeing destination was Hadimba Devi Temple, one of the most popular places to visit in Manali.
The temple is surrounded by tall trees, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a beautiful place to spend some time. Its wooden architecture is also very different from what we usually see in other temples.
We enjoyed walking around the temple and taking pictures. It was a lovely beginning to our Manali trip.
2. Mall Road Manali
After visiting the temple, we went to Mall Road.
Mall Road is a great place for walking, shopping and enjoying local food. You can find small shops, cafes, restaurants, woollen clothes and different travel items here.
We enjoyed walking around and exploring the market. The weather, mountain views and lively atmosphere made our evening special.
After sightseeing, we returned to our hotel, enjoyed dinner and took some rest.
Day 2: Naggar Castle, Manikaran Gurudwara, River Rafting and Candlelight Dinner
Our second day was full of sightseeing, adventure and some beautiful memories.
1. Naggar Castle
We started our day by visiting Naggar Castle.
The castle has beautiful old-style architecture and offers lovely views of the surrounding mountains and valley. It is a great place for people who enjoy history, photography and peaceful locations.
I really liked the atmosphere there. It was a different experience from the busy streets of Manali.
2. Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib
Next, we visited Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib, a peaceful and spiritual place.
The gurudwara is well known for its hot water springs. The surrounding mountains and the sound of the river make the place feel very special.
We spent some time there and enjoyed the peaceful environment. It was one of the memorable parts of our trip.
3. River Rafting in Manali
Things to do in Manali: After sightseeing, we also enjoyed river rafting.
If you love adventure, river rafting is one of the activities worth considering during your Manali trip. The flowing river, mountain views and excitement make it a different kind of experience.
It was exciting, and we enjoyed trying something new together.
Always choose an authorised activity operator, check the weather and follow the safety instructions before participating.
4. Candlelight Dinner at Our Hotel
The best surprise of the day was waiting for us at our hotel.
In the evening, the hotel arranged a beautiful candlelight dinner for us. It was such a sweet experience, especially because we were travelling as a couple.
The food was amazing. We genuinely loved the taste, and the dinner arrangement made our evening even more memorable.
I did not expect such a lovely experience from a budget hotel package of ₹11,000.
Shopping in Kullu: Dry Fruits, Kesar and Local Products
During our trip, we also enjoyed shopping in Kullu.
I wanted to bring something special back home, so we explored the local shops and purchased some dry fruits and other products.
We bought items like:
- Jangali lasun (wild garlic).
- Kesar (saffron).
- Dry fruits.
- Other local products.
Shopping in Kullu was a nice experience because we could explore different local products and buy a few things for our family.
If you are visiting Manali, you can also keep some time for shopping in Kullu. Just compare prices and check product quality before buying.
Day 3: Gulaba Snow Activities and Our Unplanned Experience
Our third day was a little different from our original plan.
Our package included a visit to Solang Valley. However, our driver suggested that we could visit Gulaba by paying an additional ₹1,200.
We agreed because we wanted to explore more places and enjoy the mountain experience.
Visiting Gulaba
We went to Gulaba and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The snow-covered mountain views and the cold weather made the experience special.
We also enjoyed snow activities there. It was a fun experience and something we will remember for a long time.
For anyone planning a winter trip to Manali, Gulaba can be a good place to explore, depending on road conditions and weather.
Why We Could Not Visit Solang Valley
After spending time in Gulaba, we planned to visit Solang Valley while returning.
Unfortunately, due to snow and road conditions, we could not visit Solang Valley that day.
We felt a little disappointed because Solang Valley was already included in our package. But mountain travel is sometimes unpredictable, and safety should always come first.
We decided to enjoy the remaining time instead of worrying about the missed destination.
Day 4: A Beautiful Walk Beside the River and Return Journey
Our fourth day was the last day of our Manali trip.
We had our return bus from Manali to Delhi at 5 PM.
Before leaving, we wanted to enjoy a little more of the beautiful place. So, we went for a walk beside the river.
Honestly, the river view was amazing. The flowing water, mountains and fresh air made us feel so peaceful.
Sometimes, the best travel memories are not made at famous tourist spots. They are made during simple moments when you have time to enjoy nature.
After spending some peaceful time there, we collected our belongings and started our return journey to Delhi.
Our four-day Manali trip came to an end, but the memories stayed with us.
Our Manali Trip Budget: How Much Did We Spend?
One of the biggest reasons I loved this trip was the affordable package price.
Here is a simple breakdown of the package based on our experience:
| Travel Details | Cost |
|---|---|
| Couple travel package | ₹11,000 |
| Extra charge for Gulaba | ₹1,200 |
| Total known package and Gulaba cost | ₹12,200 |
Our ₹11,000 package included a 2-star hotel stay, morning and night meals and the travel arrangements mentioned above.
The additional ₹1,200 was paid for the Gulaba visit.
This is not a complete personal spending statement. Shopping, optional activities and any other personal expenses may be extra. Always check the package inclusions before booking.
Is a Manali Tour Package Worth It?
Based on my experience, I would definitely consider a tour package for a short Manali trip.
Here are some reasons why I found it beneficial:
1. Saves time: We did not have to arrange every hotel and sightseeing detail separately.
2. Better budget planning: We knew the main package cost before starting our trip.
3. Hotel and food included: Having breakfast and dinner included made things easier.
4. Less travel stress: We could focus more on enjoying the trip instead of managing every arrangement.
5. Good for couples: A package can make a short couple trip easier to plan, especially when it includes accommodation, meals and sightseeing.
However, I would suggest comparing at least two or three packages before booking. Check hotel reviews, room facilities, sightseeing locations, transport, meal plans and extra charges. Also confirm whether activities and entry tickets are included or need separate payment.
Best Time to Visit Manali
Manali looks beautiful in different seasons, and the best time depends on what you want to experience.
- March to June: A good time for pleasant weather, sightseeing and outdoor activities.
- July to September: The valley becomes green, but monsoon rain can affect road travel and sightseeing.
- October to November: A good time to enjoy autumn views and quieter surroundings.
- December to February: A popular period for travellers who want to experience snowfall and winter activities, depending on weather conditions.
If your main reason for visiting Manali is snowfall, check the latest weather and road conditions before travelling. Snowfall is not guaranteed on fixed dates.
Important Tips for Planning a Budget Manali Trip
If you are planning your first Manali trip, here are a few things I would suggest:
- Compare different Manali couple packages before booking.
- Check the hotel location and recent customer reviews.
- Confirm whether breakfast and dinner are included.
- Ask for a clear list of sightseeing places included in the package.
- Keep some extra money for adventure activities and shopping.
- Carry warm clothes, even if you are travelling during summer.
- Check road and weather conditions before visiting snow destinations.
- Do not agree to additional charges without confirming what is included.
- Keep some free time to enjoy the beautiful river views and local surroundings.
Final Thoughts: My Best Budget Travel Experience in Manali
I have travelled to different places, but this Manali trip will always remain special to me.
We booked a couple package for just ₹11,000 and got a comfortable hotel stay, delicious food, sightseeing, adventure experiences and even a beautiful candlelight dinner.
From visiting Hadimba Devi Temple and Naggar Castle to spending peaceful time at Manikaran Gurudwara, enjoying river rafting, shopping in Kullu and exploring Gulaba, every day gave us a new memory.
We could not visit Solang Valley as planned, but that did not spoil our trip.
My biggest takeaway is that you do not always need to spend a lot of money to enjoy a memorable holiday. A well-planned budget package can make travelling easier, save time and help you enjoy more experiences.
If you are planning a Manali trip with your partner, I would definitely recommend comparing couple tour packages. Sometimes, a small budget can give you the biggest travel memories!
I hope my real Manali travel experience helps you plan your next holiday. Happy travelling!
